The Work We Do

Projects, Events and Volunteering

OART is dedicated to the environmental protection and enhancement of the Sussex River Ouse, the River Adur, their tributaries and impoundments. In order to fulfill our objectives we undertake a wide variety of work including both large and small scale river improvement projects, monitoring water quality and undertaking an annual sea trout watch across the catchment. This work is undertaken in a variety of ways, mainly as an independent organisation although we also undertake projects in partnership with others and through our volunteer task force. Find out more about the work we do by clicking on the subjects below.

Task Force/Volunteering

An integral part of our work is undertaken through our volunteer task force who are regularly out on the river undertaking small restoration projects, removing invasive species and cleaning up the environment. To find out more and get involved click on the picture above.
