Bring your spade and help us plant the final trees on the River Adur at Knepp Castle. Hot drinks and cake provided. Come for a day, a morning or just an hour!
This work supported by the Woodland Trust and Knepp Estate is part of OART’s Trees for Trout Project which aims to create additional shade along the river to mitigate against increasing freshwater temperatures as the result of climate change and provide new riparian habitat for a wide range of species, along with increased bank stability and decreased erosion. In addition, over time, we believe the trees will kick-start a process of natural regeneration of in-channel habitats and help create features such as woody debris dams, improving the river channel further.
