Over the coming 8-12 months we have a wide range of activities across both rivers which we want to use to reinvigorate the task force to help with in-channel restoration projects and to help with management of the riparian habitat. The first of these activities is to be held at the Knepp Estate on the River Adur on 26th & 27th March. Joined by Sussex Wildlife Trust and the Wild Trout Trust we are looking at creating in-channel enhancements for the re-meandered section of the River as it flows through the estate. This can be quite a physical activity and would involved some time in the channel fixing log deflectors and berms into the channel. In addition we will be moving trees from within the estate to the river banks to provide some shade and shelter through this currently barren stretch. The days will run from 10am to 4pm so if you you want to come and join us please bring some lunch!
